On Being in the Medium Censorship Penalty Box

The platform blocked all my stories and now directs to a 410 page.

Medium has suspended my account because I posted about local pharmacies for national chains saying they don't know when new shipments of anti-anxiety meds will come in.

On Being 410ed

I am locked into a problem right now over getting a refill on anti-anxiety medicine. No local pharmacies have my med and say they do not know when it will be in stock again. All three pharmacists I’ve talked to today say they do not know when they will receive more. Each has the med on back-order.

So being helpful, I made a post that reads:

On Adderall? Please Read Now!

Your pharmacy may not have the Adderall generic Ampheta/Dextro Combo 10 mg nor soon!

I then explain to my readers what I have now explained to you.

To be honest, I do not know where I have crossed Medium’s line. I read their rules and my situation does not seem to meet any of their conditions. I read it through three or four times.

But what I did notice is that the red bar slapped across the top of my Adderall post did not appear until I hit publish.

I created this email newsletter to begin discussions about censorship. Censorship by Big-Tech, to be specific. By the news media. Censorship by the United States government.

By performing a public service based on my findings, ones cited that is all true, I’m penalized.

Not only has Medium shut down my one story, but they have also shut down everything I’ve written, now 41 pieces, in the last year.

Hey Elon Musk, how do you feel about buying Medium, too?

Disquisition

Today is my scheduled weekly post for Disquisition. This is the flagship of my three Substack newsletters. The other two are Full-Frontal Nudity of the Soul for writers. And an online adventure club called The Voodoo Hill Explorer’s Club.

Friday I wrote about canceling my Patreon account because they removed Sydney Watson. They canceled her for allegedly posting something on another platform.

Well, read the Medium.com rules.

Medium has the same policy to ban because of alleged posts on other platforms.

And if upset enough, I’ll look back at other platforms and see what they say.

But I’m wondering if this is the sin I’ve accused of making:

“We do not allow the use of pseudoscience, disinformation, or other content that is contrary to public health or safety.”

Pseudoscience: That means “fake” science. Or not the science that substantiates what Medium believes to be true.

Disinformation: This is an accusation, if one comes, that I purposely tried to mislead the public by publishing my post. Which is complete B.S. considering it’s meant to alert them to something that is quite real. (Funny, Grammarly tried to tell me that "disinformation,” was “misinformation.” Which is just posting bogus information without intent to mislead.

Contrary to public health or safety: What I posted is the complete OPPOSITE.

I’m not doing anything Medium.com suspects or alleges.

I’m New to this Woke Version of Reality

I am surprised that Medium has taken this action. Anything I’d ever read said they weren’t on the same woke level as Twitter, Facebook, or Patreon.

Was I further along in my Medium career, I would lose tons of money for this matter right now.

I assume my attorney would calculate the earnings per minute to assess damages. And then he would add on a bullshit charge for the mental anguish right now.

Mental anguish over censorship.

Here I am, concerned about others having their anxiety meds when my pharmacists don’t have them in stock.

That’s some, sure enough, irony right there.

Therefore Elon Musk is attempting a buy Twitter. This is an unforgivable Twitter-like, left-wing extremist move.

Again, this is the very reason I created this newsletter.

Right now I’m quite ill with Medium. I hope that an actual person will read my story and realize, “Hey, this guy was trying to help alert others.”

Alert others about a situation that stands to have a potential impact on the country.

Until then, I’m going to risk posting this to Substack. I will rise to a new level of anguish if they slap handcuffs on this post, too. Not to mention shutting down my two other newsletters, too.

If they do censor this post, I will then go post such notifications over on Twitter for the Trifuctya.

After censoring three informative pieces on censorship in a day, my next posts go on GETTR and Parler.
